Daisy chain with USB!
The Avastor HDX Pro is the latest incarnation and follows on from the HDX-1500. The HDX Pro chassis has two USB Type-C ports. This allows you to daisy chain another drive via the USB Hub port on the back of the HDX Pro. Useful if you are using a MAC Air with only two USB-C ports.
- Main Port: USB-C (USB 3.1 Gen2)
- Secondary Port: USB-C (USB 3.1 Gen2) for daisy-chaining or additional USB devices
Easy Open Chassis
Need to quickly remove or replace the internal HDD? This is easy with the HDX Pro.
Simply remove the lid by taking off the side rails – no need for a screw driver.
Lock Box Carry Case
The Avastor HDX Pro ships in a useful carry case which holds both the drive and cables.

Q: Is the HDX Pro compatible with Thunderbolt 2 using a Thunderbolt 3 adapter? No, the HDX Pro is not compatible with Thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter.
Q: Can a Thunderbolt 3 device be connected to the HUB port? If you want to daisy-chain with other Thunderbolt 3 devices, simply place the HDX Pro at the end of the chain. Additional USB devices can be connected to the HUB port.
Q: Must it be connected to a Thunderbolt 3 port in order to daisy-chain with additional devices? The HDX Pro can daisy-chain with other devices while connected to a USB or Thunderbolt 3 port.
Q: How many HDX Pro can be connected in a chain? A total of six devices may be connected in a chain.
Q: Can a bus-powered drive be connected to the HUB port? Yes, a total of 15W is available for drives connected to the HUB port.
